Possible Causes
Stuck mode button, Damaged control PCB in handle, Moisture under keypad, Broken ribbon cable between keypad and main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting the control area.
- Check button travel: Press each button several times. They should click and return smoothly. If a button is stuck, gently work it free and clean around it with a dry cloth.
- Dry moisture: If the handle was exposed to liquid, leave the vacuum in a warm, dry place for 24–48 hours with the battery removed.
- Reset electronics: After drying, reinstall the battery and power ON. Try switching modes again.
- If F8 persists: The handle control PCB / keypad assembly or the ribbon cable to the main PCB is likely damaged and must be replaced by a technician.
