Possible Causes
Failed trigger microswitch, Broken trigger lever, Loose switch connector on PCB, Damaged flex cable between handle and main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery pack before opening the handle or body.
- Check mechanical action: Squeeze the trigger or press the power button and feel for a distinct click. If it feels mushy or stuck, the switch or lever is likely damaged.
- Inspect for debris: Dust or small particles can jam the trigger. Use compressed air to blow out the handle area.
- Open handle (if serviceable): Remove screws from the handle shell and carefully separate the halves. Locate the microswitch and check that the trigger properly actuates it.
- Check wiring: Ensure the switch wires or flex cable are intact and firmly connected to the main PCB.
- Replace switch: If the microswitch does not click or shows no continuity when pressed (test with a multimeter), replace the trigger switch assembly.
