Vacuum makes loud high‑pitched whine during operation

Safety: Remove the battery before opening the motor housing.

• Localize noise: Run the vacuum briefly (with battery) and listen to determine if the noise comes from the motor area, floor head, or tube. Then remove the battery.
• Check floor head: Spin the brushroll by hand. If it squeals, lubricate the end bearings lightly or replace the brushroll.
• Inspect motor area: Open the housing and check for loose screws, cracked plastic around the motor, or a loose fan. Tighten or replace as needed.
