Possible Causes
Clogged pre-motor filter, Blocked cyclone assembly, Clogged extension tube or hose, Severely clogged HEPA exhaust filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery or ensure it is switched off before cleaning.
- Step 1 – Empty dust bin: Remove and empty the dust container. Tap gently to remove fine dust.
- Step 2 – Clean pre-motor filter: Remove the foam or fabric filter. Tap it over a bin. If the manual allows, rinse with lukewarm water and let it dry completely (24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Step 3 – Check cyclone and ducts: Inspect the cyclone cone and inlet/outlet ports for compacted dust. Use a soft brush to clean.
- Step 4 – Inspect tube and nozzle: Detach the extension tube and nozzle. Look through them against light to spot blockages. Push out debris with a flexible rod or broom handle (do not puncture the plastic).
- Step 5 – Clean or replace HEPA filter: Remove the exhaust filter, tap gently, and replace if heavily clogged.
