E10
Philips
Battery Capacity / Cell Imbalance Error
Cordless vacuum shows E10 and runs only for a few seconds before shutting off
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Aged or worn Li-ion cells with low capacity, Internal cell imbalance detected by BMS, Battery pack previously stored fully discharged, Faulty battery management PCB inside pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not open the battery pack casing. Li‑ion cells can be hazardous if mishandled.
- Step 1 – Perform full charge cycle: Charge the vacuum until the indicator shows full, then leave it on the charger for an additional 1–2 hours to allow cell balancing.
- Step 2 – Test runtime: Run the vacuum continuously on normal mode and time how long it operates. Compare with the expected runtime in the user manual.
- Step 3 – Repeat once: If runtime is still very short, repeat one more full charge/discharge cycle to see if capacity improves slightly.
- Step 4 – Replace battery pack: If E10 persists and runtime remains poor, the battery pack is at end of life or internally imbalanced. Replace it with a genuine Philips battery pack designed for your model.
