Possible Causes

Main brush jammed with hair or debris, Main brush motor overheating, Blocked air path around brush head, Faulty main brush motor hall sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery pack (if removable) or disconnect the charger. Never work on the brush while the unit is powered.

  • Inspect the main brush: Remove the brush head from the wand. Open the brush cover and pull out the main brush. Cut away hair, threads, and debris from both the bristles and the end caps.
  • Clean brush bearings: Remove the end caps (if removable) and clear any wrapped hair from the bearing area. Wipe with a dry cloth.
  • Check brush housing: Inspect the brush chamber and suction channel for blockages. Remove any compacted dust or objects.
  • Re-seat the brush: Reinstall the main brush, ensuring it is fully seated in the drive side and the cover clicks securely.
  • Test in low power: Reinstall the battery, power on, and test in the lowest suction mode. If E1 returns quickly, the main brush motor or its sensor may be failing.
  • When to replace: If the brush spins freely by hand but still triggers E1, replace the Main Brush Motor Assembly or complete Motorized Floor Head.
