Possible Causes
Warped or damaged main brush, Debris in brush gearbox, Worn brush bearings, Broken gear teeth in floor head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power off and remove the battery. Do not run the brush head while it is disassembled.
- Inspect main brush: Remove the main brush and check for warping, missing bristles, or melted plastic. Replace if damaged.
- Clean end caps and bearings: Remove end caps and clear hair and fibers from the bearing areas. Lubrication is usually not required; keep them dry and clean.
- Check gearbox: Open the brush head (remove screws) to access the gear train. Remove any debris and inspect gears for missing or worn teeth.
- Reassemble carefully: Ensure all gears are seated and the housing closes without forcing. Misalignment can cause noise and E12 errors.
- Replace head if needed: If gears are stripped or the housing is cracked, replace the entire Motorized Floor Head.
