Possible Causes
Failed motor hall sensor, Open or shorted temperature sensor, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Faulty main control PCB ADC circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and wait a few minutes before opening the unit.
- Power cycle: Reinsert the battery and attempt a reset according to the user manual. Sometimes transient sensor errors clear after a full power cycle.
- Check for overheating: If the unit was used heavily before E17, allow it to cool completely and try again.
- Inspect wiring: Open the body to access the motor and sensor harnesses. Look for pinched, broken, or disconnected wires.
- Replace motor module: If the hall or temperature sensor is integrated into the motor, replace the entire Main Motor Assembly.
- Replace PCB: If wiring and motor are good, the Main Control PCB may have a failed sensor input circuit.
