Possible Causes
Battery charge too low, Battery pack cell imbalance, Over-discharged battery, Faulty battery BMS (Battery Management System)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only the original Roborock charger. Do not attempt to open the battery pack.
- Charge fully: Place the vacuum on the charger or insert the battery into the charging dock. Allow it to charge uninterrupted for at least 3–4 hours until the indicator shows full.
- Check charger: Verify the charger LED is on and warm to the touch after 10–15 minutes. If there is no indicator or warmth, the charger may be faulty.
- Room temperature: Charge at room temperature (15–30°C). If the battery is very cold or hot, let it reach room temperature before charging.
- Test runtime: After full charge, run the vacuum in low mode. If E3 appears quickly or runtime is very short, the battery pack is likely degraded.
- Replace battery: Remove the battery following the user manual (usually via a release latch or screws). Install a genuine Roborock Cordless Vacuum Battery Pack with matching model number.
- Seek service: If a new battery still triggers E3, the main control board or battery detection circuit may be faulty and requires professional service.
