Possible Causes
Faulty charger, Damaged charging port or contacts, Overheated battery pack, Faulty battery temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the wall before inspecting connectors. Do not use damaged power cords.
- Inspect charger and cable: Check for cuts, kinks, or burn marks on the cable and adapter. Replace the Roborock Power Adapter if damaged.
- Clean contacts: Wipe the charging contacts on the vacuum and charger with a dry cloth. Remove any corrosion or debris.
- Cool down battery: If the battery or handle feels hot, let it cool for 30–60 minutes before attempting to charge again.
- Try another outlet: Plug the charger into a different wall outlet (avoid power strips or extension cords).
- Check for wobble: Ensure the charging plug or dock seats firmly. Loose connections can trigger E5.
- Replace suspect parts: If E5 persists with a known-good charger, replace the Battery Pack. If a new battery does not resolve it, the Main Control PCB or charging port assembly may be defective and should be serviced by a technician.
