Possible Causes
Non-genuine or incompatible battery pack, Dirty or bent battery contacts, Faulty battery BMS communication line, Damaged main control PCB battery connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting contacts. Do not short the terminals.
- Verify battery type: Confirm you are using a genuine Roborock battery designed for your specific cordless model.
- Clean contacts: Use a dry cloth or cotton swab to clean the metal contacts on both the battery and vacuum body. Do not use liquids.
- Check for damage: Inspect contacts for bending, pitting, or burn marks. Slightly bent contacts can sometimes be gently realigned with non-metallic tools.
- Test with another battery: If available, test with a known-good battery. If E9 disappears, replace the original Battery Pack.
- PCB inspection: If multiple batteries show E9, the Main Control PCB or battery connector may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
