Possible Causes
Faulty mode selector switch, damaged ribbon cable to main PCB, failed control PCB, liquid ingress into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before opening the control panel. Do not use the vacuum if liquid has entered the electronics.
- Power cycle: Remove the battery for 1–2 minutes, then reinstall and test. Sometimes the control logic can reset.
- Inspect buttons/switches: Check for sticky or sunken buttons. Clean around them with a dry cloth.
- Open control housing: Remove screws and gently lift the control panel to access the mode selector PCB and any ribbon cables.
- Check connections: Ensure any ribbon or plug connectors between the control panel and main PCB are fully seated.
- Replace control PCB: If the selector switch is physically damaged or the PCB shows corrosion or burn marks, replace the control PCB assembly.
