Possible Causes
Dirty or damp filters, debris left in dust bin for long periods, moisture sucked into vacuum, pet hair accumulation in brush head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning internal parts. Do not soak electrical components.
- Empty and wash bin: Remove the dust bin and wash it with mild detergent and warm water. Dry completely before reinstalling.
- Clean or replace filters: Wash washable filters per SEBO instructions and allow to dry for at least 24 hours. Replace non-washable filters if they smell bad.
- Clean brush head: Remove hair and debris from the brush roller and housing. Wipe the inside with a slightly damp cloth and then dry.
- Air out the vacuum: Leave the bin and filter covers open (battery removed) in a dry, ventilated area for several hours to dissipate residual odors.
