Static Electricity Buildup
Cordless SEBO vacuum produces static shocks to the user during operation, especially on dry carpets.

Possible Causes
Low humidity environment, synthetic carpet fibers, lack of proper grounding path in handle or wand, worn anti-static components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Static shocks are usually not dangerous but can be uncomfortable. If you suspect electrical leakage (not just static), stop using the vacuum and have it inspected.
- Increase humidity: Use a humidifier in very dry environments to reduce static buildup.
- Wear footwear: Avoid vacuuming in socks on synthetic carpets; wear shoes with conductive soles.
- Check anti-static strips: Some SEBO heads include anti-static brushes or strips. Ensure they are intact and contacting the floor.
- Inspect for damage: If shocks are strong or accompanied by burning smell or visible arcing, discontinue use and have the vacuum inspected for insulation or wiring faults.
