Thermal Overload / Overheating Protection
Cordless SEBO vacuum shows four red flashes and will not run; may occur immediately after a blockage or overheating event.

Possible Causes
Blocked airflow in wand or nozzle, completely clogged pre-motor filter, overheated suction motor, obstructed cooling vents on motor housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack and allow the vacuum to cool for at least 30 minutes before further inspection.
- Let it cool: Place the vacuum in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight. Do not attempt to restart repeatedly while hot.
- Check for blockages: Detach the wand, hose, and nozzle. Look through each section for clogs. Use a flashlight and a flexible rod or broom handle to gently push out obstructions.
- Clean filters: Remove the dust bin and pre-motor filter. Tap the filter gently to remove dust, or wash if it is a washable SEBO filter. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstalling. Check and replace the exhaust (HEPA) filter if heavily loaded.
- Inspect cooling vents: Examine the motor housing and body vents for lint buildup. Use a soft brush or compressed air (short bursts) to clear dust from vents.
- Reset and test: After cooling and cleaning, reinstall the battery and run the vacuum on a lower power setting first. If E4 reappears quickly with clear airflow and clean filters, the thermal sensor or motor may be failing and should be checked by a technician.
