Possible Causes
Failed Hall-effect sensor on main motor, Damaged wiring between motor and PCB, Faulty motor driver circuit on Sencor control board, Debris or corrosion at motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before opening any part of the vacuum. Do not bypass safety circuits.
- Reset attempt: Remove the battery for 5 minutes, then reinstall and test. Sometimes a temporary glitch can trigger E8.
- Check connectors: If accessible, open the motor housing and inspect the connector between the motor and PCB. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Listen to motor: If the motor starts but surges or pulses, the speed feedback circuit is likely faulty.
- Replace motor assembly: On many Sencor cordless vacuums, the motor and speed sensor are integrated. Replace the complete motor assembly with an original Sencor part.
- PCB diagnosis: If a new motor does not resolve E8, the motor driver on the PCB is defective and the control board must be replaced by a technician.
