Possible Causes

Shorted charging contacts on vacuum or base, Metal object bridging contacts, Internal short in Sencor battery pack, Faulty charging base electronics

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the charger from the wall immediately if you suspect a short. Do not continue using a charger that smells burnt or is excessively hot.

  • Inspect contacts: Look at the metal contacts on the charging base and vacuum. Remove any metal objects, dust, or moisture. Wipe dry with a cloth.
  • Check for damage: If contacts are bent or touching each other, the base may need replacement.
  • Test without vacuum: Plug in the base without the vacuum. If the LED still flashes error, the base is faulty.
  • Test with another battery (if removable): If your Sencor model has a removable battery, try charging a different battery. If only one battery triggers F1, that pack is likely shorted and must be replaced.
  • Replace faulty component: Replace the charging base or battery pack with original Sencor parts. Do not attempt to repair internal charger electronics yourself.
