Possible Causes

Partially blocked airflow causing high load, Worn motor bearings in Sencor motor unit, Shorted windings in main motor, Faulty current sensing circuit on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning or disassembling.

  • Check for blockages: Empty the dust bin, clean all filters, and inspect the wand and nozzle for obstructions. Even partial blockages can cause high current draw on MAX.
  • Test on lower power: Run the vacuum on ECO or normal mode. If it runs normally but fails only on MAX, the motor may be near end-of-life.
  • Listen for noise: Grinding or high-pitched squealing from the motor area indicates worn bearings and increased load.
  • Replace motor assembly: If F4 persists with clear airflow and clean filters, replace the main motor assembly with an original Sencor part. If a new motor still triggers F4, the control PCB current sensor may be faulty and needs replacement.
