Charger lights up, but battery does not seem to charge (vacuum still stops quickly).

Safety first: Do not leave a suspected faulty battery charging unattended or overnight.

• Step 1 – Ensure proper seating: Place the battery on the charger and confirm it is fully seated and locked. Wiggle gently to ensure stable contact.
• Step 2 – Observe charge indicator: Note whether the charger LED indicates charging (blinking) and then full (steady). If it quickly shows full but runtime is very short, the battery capacity is reduced.
• Step 3 – Try another battery (if available): If a second battery charges and runs normally, the original battery is defective.
• Step 4 – Clean contacts: Clean the battery and charger contacts with a dry cloth to improve connection.
• Step 5 – Replace battery: A battery that will not hold charge despite normal charger behavior should be replaced with a genuine Severin pack.
