Vacuum does not respond to power button; E4 or four blinking LEDs appear when battery is inserted.

Safety first: Do not continue charging if the battery or charger becomes excessively hot, smells of burning, or shows signs of damage. Unplug the charger from the mains immediately.

• Step 1 – Verify charger model: Check that you are using the original Severin charger or docking station specified for your cordless vacuum model (voltage and connector must match). Do not use third-party chargers.
• Step 2 – Inspect charger and contacts: Unplug the charger. Inspect the plug, cable, and docking station contacts for damage, discoloration, or corrosion. Clean contacts gently with a dry cloth. Do not use water or sprays on electrical parts.
• Step 3 – Try a different outlet: Plug the charger into a different wall socket to rule out supply issues. Avoid extension cords or multi-plugs during testing.
• Step 4 – Observe charging behavior: Place the battery on the charger and watch the LED indicators. If the charger immediately shows a fault pattern (e.g., rapid flashing) and E4 appears when inserting the battery into the vacuum, the battery BMS may be locked in overvoltage protection.
• Step 5 – Do not attempt to discharge manually: Never try to discharge the battery by shorting the terminals or using improvised loads. This is dangerous. Instead, contact Severin customer service for battery evaluation or replacement.
