Possible Causes
Completely discharged or defective battery pack, faulty power button on handle, broken internal wiring between battery contacts and PCB, failed main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the charger and vacuum are kept away from water and children during troubleshooting.
- Step 1 – Check battery charge: Place the battery on the original Severin charger. Confirm that the charger LED indicates charging. Allow at least 1–2 hours of charge, then test the vacuum again.
- Step 2 – Try powering while on charger (if model supports): Some Severin cordless vacuums can run briefly while connected. If it runs only when on the charger, the battery is likely defective.
- Step 3 – Inspect battery fit: Insert the battery and ensure it clicks firmly into place. A loose battery may not make contact.
- Step 4 – Check power button: Press the power button firmly and hold for 2–3 seconds. Try multiple times. If the button feels loose, stuck, or does not click, the switch may be faulty.
- Step 5 – Service if still dead: If there are still no lights or sounds with a known-good battery, the internal wiring or main PCB has likely failed. These components require professional replacement.
