Safety first: Remove the battery pack before inspecting the nozzle or motor area.

Step 1 – Isolate noise source: Run the handheld unit without the tube and nozzle. If the noise is present, it is likely from the motor. If it is quiet, attach the nozzle and test again to see if the noise comes from the brush roll.
Step 2 – Inspect brush roll: Remove the motorized floor nozzle and take out the brush roll. Clear any debris and check the end bearings for smooth rotation. Replace the brush roll if bearings are rough or noisy.
Step 3 – Check for objects in nozzle: Look inside the nozzle for coins, stones, or other hard objects that may be hitting the brush or housing.
Step 4 – Motor noise: If the noise clearly comes from the motor unit and sounds like grinding or rattling, the motor bearings or fan are likely damaged.
Step 5 – Motor replacement: Noisy motors should be replaced to avoid sudden failure. Contact a Severin service center for motor unit replacement.
