Possible Causes
Filters washed but not fully dried, organic debris left in dust container, mold growth on foam filter, use in damp environments
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning. Avoid inhaling dust; consider wearing a dust mask if sensitive.
- Step 1 – Empty and wash dust container: Remove the dust container and empty it. Wash with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.
- Step 2 – Inspect filters: Remove all filters. If they smell musty or show signs of mold (spots, discoloration), replace them. If washable, clean according to the manual and dry for at least 24 hours.
- Step 3 – Clean cyclone and seals: Wipe the cyclone body and rubber seals with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry.
- Step 4 – Air out the vacuum: Leave the vacuum (without battery) open in a dry, ventilated area for several hours to dissipate odors.
- Step 5 – Prevent recurrence: Avoid vacuuming damp materials and never store the vacuum with wet filters or container.
