Possible Causes
Dust container not seated correctly, damaged rubber seal on dust container, cracked suction tube, partially blocked cyclone separator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before disassembling the dust container or tube.
- Step 1 – Empty and clean dust container: Remove and empty the container. Wash it with mild soapy water if allowed by the manual, then dry completely.
- Step 2 – Inspect seals: Check the rubber gasket around the dust container and filter housing for cracks, deformation, or missing sections. Reseat the container firmly until it clicks.
- Step 3 – Check tube and accessories: Detach the metal suction tube and any accessories. Look for cracks, holes, or loose joints that could cause air leaks. Replace damaged parts.
- Step 4 – Test handheld unit alone: Run the vacuum without the tube and nozzle, using only the handheld unit. If suction is strong at the handheld but weak with attachments, the issue is in the tube or nozzle.
- Step 5 – Replace worn seals: If seals are visibly worn, order a genuine Severin seal or dust container assembly and replace.
