• Step 1 – Fully charge battery: Charge the battery until the charger indicates full. Then leave it on the charger for an additional 30 minutes to ensure cell balancing.
• Step 2 – Measure runtime: Run the vacuum continuously on low power and time how long it operates from full to automatic shutdown.
• Step 3 – Compare to specification: Check your Severin manual for the expected runtime. If actual runtime is less than 50–60% of specified, the battery is significantly degraded.
• Step 4 – Avoid deep discharges: In future, recharge before the battery is completely empty to extend life.
• Step 5 – Replace battery: When capacity is too low for practical use, replace the battery pack with a genuine Severin replacement.
