Cordless Shark vacuum's battery will not release from the handle or dock; latch is stuck

Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and ensure it is not on the charger while you work on the latch.

• 1. Confirm correct release method: Refer to your manual to ensure you are pressing the correct battery release button or tabs.
• 2. Gently work the latch: Press and release the latch repeatedly while gently pulling the battery. Do not force or pry with metal tools.
• 3. Remove debris: If you can see into the latch area, use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris.
• 4. Seek service if latch is broken: If the latch mechanism is broken internally and the battery cannot be removed safely, contact Shark or a technician. Forcing the battery out can damage contacts or housings.
