Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery pack before clearing any blockages or accessing the brush bar.
- 1. Check for blockages: Detach the floorhead, wand, and bin assembly. Look through each tube and opening. Remove any hair, dust clumps, or debris. Pay special attention to the neck of the floorhead and the inlet to the dust bin.
- 2. Clean the brush bar: Flip the motorised floorhead over. Remove the brush bar access cover (usually a coin slot or latch). Cut away hair and threads with scissors, avoiding the bristles. Ensure the brush bar spins freely by hand.
- 3. Empty and clean cyclone: Empty the dust bin. Tap the cyclone section gently over a bin to dislodge fine dust. Do not wash the cyclone unless the manual explicitly allows it.
- 4. Check filters: Remove the pre-motor and post-motor filters. Tap off loose dust and, if the manual allows, rinse with cold water only. Let filters dry completely for at least 24 hours before refitting.
- 5. Test without floorhead: Refit the battery and run the vacuum with just the main body (no wand or floorhead). If it runs normally, the blockage is in the wand or floorhead. If it still trips E2 quickly, the main motor may be failing and drawing too much current.
If E2 persists after thorough cleaning, the main motor assembly or motor control PCB may need replacement by a technician.
