Possible Causes

Blocked airflow causing motor overheating, Clogged filters, Operating continuously on turbo mode, Battery pack overheating due to high load or ambient temperature

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery. Do not continue to run the unit if it feels very hot.

  • 1. Allow cooling: Let the vacuum and battery cool down at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Do not place in a fridge or near a heater.
  • 2. Check airflow path: Remove the dust bin, wand, and floorhead. Inspect all airways for blockages and clear any debris.
  • 3. Clean filters thoroughly: Remove pre-motor and post-motor filters. Tap off dust and, if allowed by the manual, rinse with cold water. Let them dry completely (24 hours) before refitting. Never run the vacuum with wet filters.
  • 4. Use lower power when possible: Avoid running on maximum/turbo mode continuously, especially on thick carpets. Alternate between normal and turbo settings.
  • 5. Check vents: Ensure the motor cooling vents on the main body are not blocked by your hand, furniture, or dust build-up. Clean with a soft brush.

If E4 recurs quickly even with clean filters and clear airflow, the main motor assembly or battery pack temperature sensor may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
