Vacuum will not charge, charger LED flashes or E5 appears on display when battery is docked

Possible Causes
Faulty mains charger, Damaged battery pack BMS, Dirty or bent charging contacts, Overheated battery pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the mains before inspecting the charger or battery contacts.
- 1. Inspect charger and cable: Check the Swan charger for damage, frayed cable, or a loose plug. Do not use if damaged.
- 2. Clean contacts: Wipe the metal contacts on the charger dock and battery pack with a dry cloth. Ensure there is no burnt or melted plastic around the terminals.
- 3. Cool the battery: If the battery feels warm or hot, let it cool for at least 30 minutes before attempting to charge again.
- 4. Try another outlet: Plug the charger into a different wall socket. Avoid extension leads or multi-way adaptors during testing.
- 5. Test with another charger or battery (if available): If you have a second compatible Swan battery or charger, cross-test to identify whether the fault lies with the charger or the battery pack.
If E5 persists and the battery never charges, replace the Swan cordless vacuum charger first. If a new charger does not resolve it, the lithium battery pack is likely faulty and should be replaced as a complete unit.
