Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before any inspection. Do not open electronic housings unless you are qualified.
- 1. Basic reset: Remove the battery, wait 5 minutes, then refit the battery and try again. Sometimes the control board will reset.
- 2. Check trigger and mode switches: Ensure the trigger is not physically stuck and that any power/mode buttons click cleanly. Dirt around the trigger can cause false signals; clean gently with a dry cloth.
- 3. Inspect for visible damage: Look for signs of liquid ingress, burning smell, or scorch marks around vents. If present, stop using the vacuum.
- 4. Eliminate attachments: Run the vacuum with no wand or floorhead attached to ensure an accessory is not shorting the system.
If E6 persists, the main control PCB (handle PCB assembly) or internal wiring is likely defective. Replacement requires disassembly of the handle and should be carried out by a qualified technician or authorised Swan service centre.
