Possible Causes

Failed tachometer sensor in motor, Broken motor wiring harness, Faulty main motor assembly, Defective control PCB reading tach signal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before any inspection. Do not bypass safety circuits.

  • 1. Check for obstructions: Ensure the motor is not mechanically jammed by debris in the cyclone or fan area. Empty the bin and inspect the inlet to the motor.
  • 2. Reset and retest: Remove the battery for 5 minutes, refit, and try again with no attachments connected.
  • 3. Listen for clicks or brief spin: If the motor attempts to start then stops with E7, the tachometer may not be sending a valid signal.

There are no user-serviceable parts inside the motor housing. If E7 continues, the main motor assembly (which includes the tach sensor) or the main control PCB must be replaced. This repair is best handled by a technician.
