Swan
Filter Detection / Airflow Sensor Fault
Display shows E8 or battery LEDs flash in a pattern when filters are missing or incorrectly fitted

Possible Causes
Pre-motor filter not installed, Post-motor HEPA filter missing or misaligned, Blocked airflow sensor port, Faulty airflow/pressure sensor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF and remove the battery before handling filters.
- 1. Check filter presence: Confirm that the pre-motor foam filter is correctly seated in the dust bin or cyclone housing and that the post-motor HEPA filter is installed in its rear cover.
- 2. Clean filter seals: Wipe the rubber seals and plastic rims where the filters sit. Dust build-up can prevent proper seating and trigger an error.
- 3. Inspect airflow sensor port: Some Swan models have a small hole or channel near the filter area for a pressure sensor. Ensure it is not blocked with dust; clean gently with a soft brush.
- 4. Reset: Refit all filters firmly, reinstall the battery, and power on.
If E8 persists with genuine Swan filters correctly installed, the airflow/pressure sensor or main control PCB may be faulty and require professional service.
