Vacuum leaves lines of debris on carpet and does not pick up well from floor

Possible Causes
Worn or missing bristles on brush bar, Brush bar not rotating at full speed, Blocked floorhead suction channel, Incorrect floorhead height setting (on some models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting the floorhead.
- 1. Check brush rotation: With the vacuum assembled, briefly run it and look at the brush bar. If it is slow or intermittent, clean and free it from hair and debris.
- 2. Inspect bristles: Remove the brush bar and check for worn-down bristles, especially in the centre. Replace the Swan brush bar if bristles are flattened or missing.
- 3. Clear suction channel: Look into the rear of the floorhead where it connects to the wand. Remove any blockages.
- 4. Adjust cleaning mode: If your Swan model has a hard floor/carpet switch, ensure it is set correctly for the surface.
