Vacuum makes a rattling or clunking noise from the floorhead while in use
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Worn brush bar bearings, Loose brush bar end cap, Foreign objects inside floorhead, Damaged floorhead wheels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and remove the battery before working on the floorhead.
- 1. Inspect brush bar: Remove the brush bar cover and take out the brush. Check for cracks, missing bristles, or loose end caps.
- 2. Check bearings: Spin the brush bar by hand. If it feels rough or wobbly, the bearings are worn and the brush bar should be replaced.
- 3. Examine wheels: Check the front and rear wheels on the floorhead for flat spots, hair wrapped around axles, or looseness. Clean and, if necessary, replace the wheel set.
- 4. Remove debris: Shake out the floorhead and remove any small stones, screws, or hard objects that may be rattling inside.
If noise persists, consider replacing the complete Swan motorised floorhead assembly.
