Possible Causes

Broken latch mechanism, Faulty electronic latch circuit on PCB, Stuck mode button

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting controls.

  • 1. Inspect latch button: Check the continuous run button or slider for physical damage or obstruction. Clean around it with a dry cloth.
  • 2. Test operation: With the battery refitted, try engaging the latch while holding the trigger, then release the trigger. If it never latches, the mechanism or PCB is faulty.

Mechanical latch parts may be part of the handle housing. If broken, replace the handle assembly. If the mechanism moves but the vacuum still won’t latch, the main control PCB may need replacement.
