Possible Causes
Hair wrapped around brush bar ends, Stripped drive gear inside floorhead, Failed brush motor, Broken wiring in wand to floorhead
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before working on the floorhead.
- Step 1 – Clean brush bar: Remove the brush bar and cut away all hair and fibres. Ensure the bar spins freely by hand.
- Step 2 – Check drive mechanism: Inspect the drive end of the brush bar for worn or stripped drive lugs/gears. If damaged, replace the Tower brush bar.
- Step 3 – Test power to head: With the battery installed and the vacuum on (keep fingers clear), gently move the wand connection. If the brush intermittently starts, the wand wiring is faulty.
- Step 4 – Replace components: Replace the Tower motorised floorhead assembly if the internal motor or gearbox has failed, or the extension wand with wiring loom if power is not reaching the head.
