Possible Causes
Severely blocked bin inlet or wand, Clogged mesh shroud in cyclone, Collapsed or incorrectly fitted filter, Faulty airflow or pressure sensor on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before clearing blockages.
- Step 1 – Check bin and inlet: Remove the dust bin and inspect the inlet port for compacted debris. Clear any blockage with a non‑sharp tool.
- Step 2 – Inspect wand and tools: Detach the wand and all accessories. Look through each section for obstructions (paper, hair clumps). Push them out gently with a flexible rod if needed.
- Step 3 – Clean cyclone shroud: Remove the cyclone assembly and clean the perforated shroud thoroughly with a soft brush.
- Step 4 – Check filter seating: Ensure the pre‑motor and HEPA filters are correctly seated and not collapsed or deformed. Replace if they appear misshapen.
- Step 5 – Test without wand: Run the main body only. If E9 disappears, the blockage is in the wand or floorhead. If it persists, the airflow sensor may be faulty.
- Step 6 – Replace sensor/PCB: If airflow is clear but E9 continues, replace the Tower main control PCB with airflow sensor or the entire main body assembly.
