Possible Causes
Damaged locking tabs on wand, Worn catch on main body or floorhead, Debris in locking slots, Bent wand tube
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting the wand and connections.
- Step 1 – Clean locking points: Remove dust and debris from the locking buttons and slots on the wand, main body, and floorhead.
- Step 2 – Inspect tabs and catches: Look for cracked or worn plastic tabs on the wand. If they do not spring out fully, the wand may need replacement.
- Step 3 – Check for bending: Roll the wand on a flat surface to see if it is bent. Replace a bent Tower extension wand.
- Step 4 – Replace worn components: If the wand will not lock securely even when clean, replace the Tower extension wand and, if necessary, the main body nozzle collar or floorhead neck.
