Possible Causes
Hair jammed in brush bar causing belt or motor strain, Blocked filters causing motor overheat, Failing motor windings, Foreign object stuck in floorhead
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately switch off the vacuum, remove the battery, and allow the unit to cool. Do not continue using it until the cause is found.
- Step 1 – Inspect brush bar: Remove the brush bar and clear all hair and debris. Check that it spins freely.
- Step 2 – Check for melted plastic: Look for signs of melted plastic around the brush ends or floorhead. If present, replace the Tower motorised floorhead assembly.
- Step 3 – Clean filters and airflow: Ensure all filters are clean and dry, and that there are no blockages in the wand or bin inlet.
- Step 4 – Test motor: After cooling and cleaning, briefly run the main body only. If the burning smell returns quickly, the Tower main motor assembly is likely failing and should be replaced.
