Possible Causes

Battery pack overheated from extended high-power use, Blocked cooling vents around battery compartment, Failing battery temperature sensor (NTC) inside pack

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: If the battery feels hot to the touch, do not attempt to charge or continue using the vacuum until it has cooled.

  • Allow cooling time: Remove the battery pack and let it sit at room temperature for at least 30–60 minutes away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  • Check cooling vents: Inspect the battery compartment and surrounding vents on the vacuum body. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust buildup that may trap heat.
  • Avoid continuous turbo mode: If you frequently use the highest power setting for long periods, switch to a lower setting periodically to reduce battery stress.
  • Test after cooling: Reinstall the battery and attempt to power on. If the E5 condition returns immediately when the pack is cool, the internal temperature sensor or BMS may be faulty, and the battery pack should be replaced.
