Possible Causes
Failed brushroll motor in motorized floor head, Broken brushroll drive belt (if belt-driven), Disconnected brushroll wiring harness at nozzle neck, Faulty brushroll motor driver circuit on nozzle PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery pack before working on the floor nozzle.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the brushroll cover and clear all hair, string, and debris from the brushroll and end caps. Ensure the brushroll can spin freely by hand.
- Inspect the drive system: If your Tristar nozzle uses a belt, check for a broken or stretched belt and replace if necessary. If it uses a direct-drive motor, ensure the brushroll end is properly engaged with the motor coupling.
- Verify electrical connection: Inspect the wiring harness at the nozzle neck and where it connects to the main wand. Make sure connectors are fully seated and pins are not bent or corroded.
- Test the nozzle: Reassemble, reinstall the battery, and test on a hard floor. If suction is present but the brush still does not spin and the error returns, the brushroll motor or nozzle PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
