Possible Causes

Defective power mode switch or trigger, Faulty main control PCB current sensing circuit, Partially shorted main motor drawing excessive current at high speed

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before inspecting switches or wiring.

  • Check the power mode switch: Operate the mode button or slider repeatedly with the unit off to free any sticking contacts. Inspect for physical damage or contamination around the switch.
  • Clean around controls: Use a dry brush or compressed air to remove dust from around the trigger and mode switch. Do not spray liquids directly into the controls.
  • Test in different configurations: Remove the wand and nozzle and run the vacuum as a handheld unit. If high mode works without the floor head attached, the nozzle may be overloading the system.
  • Persistent limitation: If high mode never engages, the main control PCB or motor may be faulty. Replacement of the control board or motor assembly is recommended and typically requires disassembly of the main body.
