Possible Causes
Clogged cyclone shroud, Blocked wand or hose, Full or clogged dirt bin, Blocked pre-motor or post-motor filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF and remove the battery before clearing blockages.
- 1. Empty the bin: Remove and empty the dirt bin, tapping gently to dislodge compacted dust.
- 2. Clean the cyclone shroud: Use a soft brush to clean the mesh or perforated shroud inside the bin.
- 3. Check the wand and tools: Detach the wand and any tools. Look through them for blockages and push out debris with a flexible rod.
- 4. Clean filters: Remove and clean the pre-motor filter (and post-motor filter if fitted) as per the user manual.
- 5. Inspect seals: Check the bin-to-body seal and any rubber gaskets for damage or misalignment that could cause air leaks.
After reassembly, test suction at the handheld inlet without tools. If suction is strong there but weak at the floorhead, the issue is in the wand or head.
