Possible Causes

Completely discharged or failed battery pack, Battery not seated correctly, Faulty power trigger or on/off switch, Failed main control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the charger and battery are not damaged before use.

  • 1. Check battery charge: Place the battery on the original Vax charger and confirm that the charger LED indicates charging. If there is no light, try another outlet or charger if available.
  • 2. Reseat the battery: Remove and firmly refit the battery until it clicks. Check that the latch is fully engaged.
  • 3. Inspect the trigger: Squeeze the trigger and feel for a positive click. If it feels loose or stuck, the trigger or switch may be broken.
  • 4. Test with another battery (if possible): If the vacuum powers on with a different battery, replace the original pack.

If there is still no response with a known-good battery, the internal electronics or switch are likely faulty and the main body assembly should be serviced or replaced.
