Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness to sensor, Control board input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before accessing internal components.
- Reset attempt: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and try a short cycle to rule out a transient error.
- Locate NTC sensor: On many Amica dishwashers the NTC is mounted in the sump or integrated with the heater assembly. Access the base and identify the small sensor with two wires.
- Check connection: Ensure the plug is firmly seated and free from corrosion or moisture.
- Test sensor: Using a multimeter, measure resistance at room temperature and compare with Amica specifications. An open circuit or near-zero resistance indicates a faulty sensor.
- Replace NTC: If out of spec, replace the NTC temperature sensor with the correct part number.
