Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or hose, Faulty pressure switch, Sticking water inlet valve, Control board sensing error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap.
- Check for siphoning: Ensure the drain hose is installed at the correct height and not inserted too far into the standpipe, which can cause backflow and confuse level sensing.
- Clean sump and filters: Remove and clean all filters and check the sump area for grease buildup that can block the pressure chamber.
- Inspect pressure hose: Access the side or base of the dishwasher to locate the thin pressure hose running from the sump to the pressure switch. Remove it and blow through it to clear any blockage.
- Test inlet valve: With power disconnected, inspect the inlet valve for signs of sticking or internal leakage (water entering even when off). Replace if water continues to flow when the machine is off.
- Persistent E5: A faulty pressure switch or control module may need professional diagnosis and replacement.
