Possible Causes

Faulty flow meter in water inlet system, Blocked or scaled water path, Loose wiring to flow sensor, Control board fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap.

  • Check inlet filters: Remove and clean the mesh filter in the inlet hose and at the machine connection to ensure proper flow.
  • Descale water path: If you live in a hard-water area, run a dishwasher cleaner or descaler program to remove limescale that may affect the flow meter.
  • Inspect flow meter: On many Amica models the flow meter is integrated into the inlet valve or side water distribution chamber. Access the side panel, locate the small sensor with wires on the water path, and check for loose or corroded connectors.
  • Replace if faulty: If the sensor body is cracked or heavily scaled, or if resistance/impulse output is out of spec, replace the flow meter assembly.
