Possible Causes

Burnt-out flow-through heater, Faulty NTC temperature sensor, Loose or burnt wiring at heater terminals, Defective main control board relay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. Water and electricity are both present in the heating circuit; do not work live.

  • Confirm symptom: Start a hot program and let it run 10–15 minutes. Carefully open the door (pause the cycle) and feel for heat and steam. If the water is cold and E02 appears, proceed.
  • Access heater assembly: Pull the dishwasher out from the cabinet. Lay it gently on its back with towels. Remove the bottom access panel to expose the circulation pump and inline heater (usually mounted on the side of the sump).
  • Check wiring: Inspect heater connectors and wiring harness for signs of burning, melting, or loose plugs. Reseat connectors firmly.
  • Test heater resistance: With a multimeter set to ohms, measure across the heater terminals. Typical values are 20–30 Ω. If open circuit or very low resistance, the heater is faulty and must be replaced.
  • Check NTC sensor: Locate the NTC sensor on the sump or heater body. Measure its resistance at room temperature and compare with Arcelik specifications (commonly 10–50 kΩ). If out of range, replace the sensor.
  • If heater and NTC are OK: The issue may be a failed heater relay on the main PCB. This repair usually requires board-level work or replacement and is best handled by an authorized technician.
