Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or air trap, Faulty pressure switch, Stuck water inlet valve, Control board misreading level signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap. Be prepared for water spillage when opening hoses.
- Check for overfill: Open the door and inspect the water level. It should be just below the bottom of the door. If higher, manually remove excess water with a container and sponge.
- Clean filters and sump: Remove and clean all filters. Check the sump area for grease and debris that may block the pressure chamber.
- Clean pressure chamber/air trap: Access the side of the tub (usually left side) by removing the side panel. Locate the small plastic pressure chamber and attached hose. Detach the hose and flush both the chamber and hose with hot water to remove sludge.
- Inspect pressure switch: Follow the hose to the pressure switch. Check for corrosion or water inside the switch. If the diaphragm is stuck or contacts are unreliable, replace the pressure switch.
- Check inlet valve operation: With power restored, start a fill and listen. If water continues to enter even when the machine should stop filling, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
