Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber, Clogged pressure hose, Faulty pressure sensor, Control board misreading level signal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before removing panels.

Steps to try:

  • Reset the appliance: Turn the dishwasher off at the control panel for 1 minute, then back on. Try a short program to see if the code clears.
  • Clean filters and sump: Remove the lower rack, take out the coarse and fine filters, and clean thoroughly. Check the sump area for food debris or foreign objects that could affect water level sensing.
  • Inspect pressure chamber and hose: On many Blomberg models, a small plastic pressure chamber and thin hose run from the sump to a pressure sensor. Remove the left or right side panel, locate the small rubber or plastic hose, and check for blockages or kinks. Flush it with warm water and reattach securely.
  • Check for over-foaming: Excessive suds from wrong detergent can confuse level sensing. If there is foam inside, run a rinse cycle with no detergent and a tablespoon of cooking oil to break down suds.

When to call a technician: If the pressure sensor (mounted on the side of the sump or base) tests faulty or the control board is not interpreting the signal correctly, professional replacement is advised.
